Okay, we might have been lying when we said elsewhere that Teaze’s self-titled debut is the heaviest record out of Canada in the 1970s, because Goddo’s first record might eclipse it. It’s certainly close, this stone-carved power trio classic being stacked high with power chords, topped with the killer vocal work of band leader and bassist Greg Godovitz. “Let It Slide,” “Twelve Days,” “Let That Lizard Loose”… there are certainly some major Canuck rock master tracks on this solid and well-recorded monster record. Things got progressively more varied over the course of the catalogue, but yeah, in 1977, Goddo were loud ‘n’ proud.
