Julie Doiron - Désormais

$8.88

Julie began her career in music in 1990 at the age of 18 in Moncton, NB, playing bass in Eric's Trip, one of the most revered canadian indie-rock groups ever. The first of many maritime Canadians signed to SubPop, Eric's Trip found international recognition until their break-up in 1996.

In the fall of 2001, Julie released her debut french language recording, Desormais. The companion english-language CD, heart & crime, was released in April 2002. Both records rely on minimal arrangements to propel familiar themes of self-doubt, hope, longing and sadness.

"With Doiron's low, brown-eyed voice and muted guitar tones way up front, Desormais is the best kind of easy listening--melancholy, dignified and graftable to any set of woes." - Philadelphia Weekly
