The music transpired during a live improvised performance at a screening of the original 1925 version of the silent film Phantom of the Opera directed by Rupert Julian. Produced and recorded by Lewis Melville.

The Woodchoppers Association, at Toronto-based improvisational orchestra, joined together with many fine Guelph musicians to create this spontaneous symphonic epic.
